Turkey, cranberry and walnut wrap

Okay.. the holidays clearly have been whispering into my ear LOL 

Turkey dinners are like my all time FAV so anyway i can get my hands on something that reminds me of them ... I am on it! 

Let me tell you about this wrap, It seems ordinary... It seems just like any other wrap. BUT its not! Its far from... and my tastebuds (as will yours) are thanking me right now for sharing this recipe.

<<Turkey, Cranberry walnut wrap>>
a few strips of white turkey
2 tbs of cranberries 
1 tbs crushed walnuts
1 tbs sweet chia seed dressing (This is my personal ULTRA secret recipe .. but hey if you want it just ask ;) ) 
1/2 cup of kale and chopped Brussel sprout salad
Pepper to taste

This is seriously going to be one of my all time favs to make!

Monday Morning

Its Monday. And after a WONDERFUL weekend spent with family and friends. I've realized how far i've come in life. With LOTS of turmoil and mistakes leading the path to get here... I finally have that solid foundation to start forming bigger areas of my life around. 


Feeling <BLESSED> And very fortunate to have come this far!

Are you living your life?

-Long BUT honest post ahead-
Okay i wanted to share something with all of you. I was bored this morning scrolling threw Facebook photos (always nice to reminisce at times!) And i found a few photos that reminded me of times i am not very proud of.


The photo on the left was taken at a bar and I'm pretty sure i was heavily drinking. I was 21 here i think, I was smiling but i know i was not happy. I was making very poor choices in who i was hanging out with, and what i was spending my time doing. I remember being sad, and lonely even tho i was going out all the time.I was extremely unhealthy. I did not eat properly and would binge eat especially after a night of drinking. I was in and out of a very abusive relationship and had no idea who i was or even who i wanted to be. I just was. And it was miserable. 


------>Fast forward to the photo on the right. I took this photo maybe a week an a half ago. 28 weeks pregnant & almost 24 wink emoticon in this photo, I am smiling and i KNOW for a fact that i was very happy on this day. I feel healthy and STRONG and like the photo depicts... EMPOWERED. I am making better choices, I am building better relationships... I am exactly who i want to be right now While working on myself to GROW every single day to be BETTER and do BETTER. I am in the most solid relationship i have ever been in, Every day growing with each other to build a strong foundation for our family. I have learned how to take care of my body and treat it as a temple. I am able to be a stay at home mom and raise my kids with this growing foundation in place, And run a business where not only do i get to be my own boss but learn from leaders who have inspired me to live my life in such a positive way! I have stayed committed to making these choices as so far... the out come has been more than anything i could of imagined. 


I've come to realize my life is a BLESSING in the making.


No matter where you are in life, What choices you have made or are making.. There is always a time to change. RIGHT NOW. Don't wait till tomorrow or next monday. Start NOW. You have no idea what kind of life you are missing out on... Treat your life like its a blessing NOT a burden and you will see some amazing doors open for you. 
Live your life NOW.

Salmon salad with pumpkin seeds and honey vinaigrette




Saturday Lunch LOVE

So we had salmon last night for supper, Which i love because the next day i always get to have some yummy creation from the leftovers for lunch lol 

Todays happiness (yes food makes me very happy) was 
---->Salmon Salad with pumpkin seeds and a Honey vinaigrette

The recipe:
Salmon ( We have been loving the salmon from superstore, It doesn't taste as fishy as from some of the other places we have tried and for a very low price you get a massive piece. We seasoned it with lemon and MRS dash lemon pepper spice and foiled and BBQ it)

I buy a pre bagged sweet kale salad kit (easier the better am i right?) It comes with Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Cabbage, Kale, Chicory, Dried cranberries & roasted pumpkin seeds. 

I then Use honey with chia seeds as my light dressing. 

Mix all together and seriously your tastebuds will thank you. 
This is one of my favourite lunches. Its light, Healthy and has some amazing flavaa!

Comfort From Home

 Between having to find a sitter, Getting ready to go to the gym, Getting a toddler ready to leave the house, Having to pack a bag, Gas and Time spent getting to gym ... These were all excuses i used to NOT go at all! 

My solution to this problem... I made my own pilates studio to work out of. Comfort of home people! Makes a HUGE difference. 

PROS
-No more excuses could be made to not work out
-Gas and time saved
-I am most comfortable in my own home setting
-I find i challenge myself more as i do not have an audience 
-I don't have to leave my house... INTROVERT WIN!!!
-I can do this all before cash wakes up, Or like today... while he was playing with his action figures. 

The list could go on. But point made... THIS is an easier route for me! I get it DONE and i feel better after. 

Its all about what works for YOU to get the job done and make those steps closer to achieving your goals!

Lemon & Ginger water

Why have ordinary water when you are NOT an ordinary person ;)
Lemon and Ginger infused water for this mama today! I LOVE the benefits this tasty drink has!


--->Ginger and lemon are full of a lot of properties that promote health in different ways

-Help purify the blood: having cleansing ingredients in the blood that promote elimination of unnecessary toxins and wastes, these two allies are perfect for naturally cleansing the blood, along with other things.

Thursday Morning Workout

Today I decided to switch it up and work with the resistance band! Woo feeling that burn! Was totally feeling like skipping my workout today as I was feeling pretty tired. .. but so glad I didn't! Feeling energized now!  ‪#‎bringonthemuscles‬

Greek Yogurt Tuna Sandwich

Decided to make this for supper... This mama does not feeling like cooking lol Its a gorgeous day so i wanted something healthy but something that was EASY and wouldn't get the kitchen hot. 

Greek yogurt tuna sandwich

-1 Can flake tuna
-Sweet mustard & hot mustard
-3 tbs plain greek yogurt 
-chopped up celery ( i also added in some chopped up cucumber) 
-sea salt and pepper to taste

I used rye bread for myself and chia seed bread for my little guy as he doesn't like the rye bread. 

With a side a veggies and you have yourself an easy supper. Tonight is just one of this nights where the simpler the better

One Pot Pineapple Chicken & Rice

-On Tonights Menu-

We had Pineapple chicken & rice! I made the rice and veggies in one pot which made for easy clean up! (Anything that makes little dishes is awesome for this busy mom!) And the chicken was so flavourful! It was a HUGE success! 

And with it being a very healthy alternative to some fried rices this will most definitely become a staple in this house.

I started off with throwing 1 Cup brown rice into a large pot. 2 1/2 cups water adding 1/2 cup of pineapple juice. I then added in the veggies and garlic spice and paprika with a dash of sea salt and pepper to taste. I then added 1 tbs of coconut oil and set on high to boil. 

While i was doing that i prepared skinless chicken breasts with the same spices as listed above. And laid pineapple on top and stuck in the over at 430 degrees. I let that cook for about half hour.

Once the rice boiled i put a lid on and cooked on low for 20 mins.

Once both were done, plated and heavily enjoyed an amazing supper with my love! 


This was quick and effortless but very nutritious. Which some days a busy mom just needs! 

What excuses are holding you down?


Seriously when piyo says the workout is called drench... it literally means you will sweat until you can't sweat no more LOL 

I officially have jello legs! Was it worth it? Heck yes! 
I am 29 weeks pregnant, which means 11 weeks left till my little bundle of joy arrives..with my last pregnancy i would laugh at you if you told me i would be so committed to working out with a little baby growing inside of me! I totally used being pregnant as an excuse to be lazy.


Not this round baby! I feel more energized and so proud of myself that i have stayed committed and accountable throughout this journey! Piyo is seriously my all-time favourite right now! So much fun and do you ever feel the BURN lol

PUMPKIN SPICE Shakeology

So this happened this morning .. PUMPKIN SPICE wink emoticon

Not only will you save on calories, fat and sugar... but you are having a meal in a glass. Complete with protein, antioxidants probiotics, amino acids, phytonutrients and digestive enzymes. 

This is a GREAT alternative to all the lattes out there! & tastes amazing!

Ingredients
1scoop vanilla shakeology 
1/2 canned pure pumpkin (not pie filling)
1 cup unsweetend almond milk
dash of cinnamon and nutmeg
1cup ice

Blend and enjoy!

Turkey Chili!

Its Meal Prepping day in this house!

 I love love love this recipe... Let me tell you WHY!

1. It's a great way for me to use ALL my veggies that won't last too much longer in my fridge.
2. It can be made in a crock pot so super EASY.
3. It can be portioned out into containers and put in the freezer for meals ready to go throughout the work week.
4. Its HEALTHY baby! Filled with Tons of fibre and protein this is a great way to fuel your body!
5. Chili is a huge WIN in this house... you just can't go wrong! 

Want my recipe? Okay i will share

Red, Green, Yellow, Orange peppers cut up
1 onion
6 whole tomatoes (I used ones from my grandparents garden)
1lb of ground turkey
red beans
black beans
chickpeas
Mrs. dash garlic spice

cummin
red chilli flakes

Brown the onion and the spices in with the turkey. Once that is done add everything into the crock pot and set on low for 6 hours. 
Enjoy with plain greek yogurt and sprinkle of cheese.

Are you living the extraordinary?

"You can't do this", "Nothing that good could happen to you anyway" .... These were the thoughts that crept into my mind whenever i thought about my life being more extraordinary than it was. I battled the anxiety of wanting my life to be MORE but feeling like i was incapable of achieving my goals to get where i wanted. 

I joined Beach body and really started LISTENING to the personal development and applying it to my life. Those voices didn't disappear right off the hop... but they started to get quieter. I was able to think past that voice telling me i Couldn't do it... and step outside of my comfort zone and make it happen. I failed a lot! And have made a million mistakes ... but the greatest part of becoming a coach was taking back my empowerment! My choice to make my life better for myself and my family.

I am surrounded by inpirational LEADERS and became a person who once WISHED she could be just like them ... and started to realize that i WAS ONE! My confidence came back ten fold. Learning about how to treat my body right with Clean eating choices , exercise everyday and a support system that was always there for me when i needed it really helped me in conquering the fear i kept myself bubbled up in. 

I am now living each day to the FULLEST and am more present in my life! My family has noticed a huge change in my mood and my relationships have begun to blossom. Just by making the choice to take back my own life i have had many people tell me that they have been inspired by ME! I never would of thought that i could be the motivation that gave people the push that they needed to become empowered as well! 

a week into my business adventure i was able to make it emerald which to me meant that my journey was spreading into other peoples lives. I was beyond thrilled to be apart of THEIR journey and help them feel the excitement i had been feeling! I was able to pay my insurance and buy some extra groceries which made my accomplishment that much greater! I was able to PROVIDE for my family. 

I am Healthy, Happy, Living a life of fulfillment and feeling empowered every step of the way!

How to become a MORNING person

So The girls in my Clean Eating group were talking about how Mornings can be ROUGH! Like seriously i did NOT want to wake up with morning. The bed was warm, It was still dark out ... Cash was still sleeping. UHG the excuses were endless! lol So i decided to look into some tips on how to become a morning person and this is what i came up with:

--->> Leave yourself with an extra hour to POWER DOWN in the evening. This will help to not over extend yourself and is used to wind down from the days activities allowing mornings to be not so rough

--->>Have a high protein breakfast! In the morning our metabolism and blood sugars are at their lowest So we need a healthy breakfast to energize our systems!

--->>Reward yourself. Select something to do with your extra time in the morning. Something that you LOVE. Reading that blog that you never have time for or diving into some personal development with a hot cup of tea <3 Make mornings your happy time!

--->>PEP TALK lol okay this one i actually do every morning. I have to get myself EXCITED to wake up and start my day... YOU GOT THIS

--->>As soon as that sun comes up Open those curtains and let the light fill your house!

--->>Exercise early in the morning! This can help to boost your energy surge, As you will have elevated body temperature and elevated adrenalin levels for several hours after you exercise!

I am on the right track to becoming a morning person! Lol I don't mind mornings for the most part but lately with being so tired with the pregnancy and with school starting for cash i know that these tips will make a serious change in my attitude ;)

HEALTHY TACO BOWLS

Sooo I was having some fun with dinner and came up with this totally awesome recipe for tacos ... Homeade taco BOWLS baby! Taco time has nothing on this!







The recipe

Whole wheat tortilla shells 
Ground turkey
Quinoa 
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Avacodo
Cheese
Plain Greek yogurt

I have no idea what the things are called that hold the tortillas in shape but they rock! Put those in the oven for 10 to 15 mins for really crispy shells. Cook your ground turkey adding in Mrs dash spices. Add in quinoa into meat and keep on low. Cut up your veggies and cheese (cheese in moderation!!!)
Once everything is ready to go build your bowls! And top with Greek yogurt ♡♡♡♡

This is so freaking good lol everyone in the house devoured them!

Positive thinking

{A positive mind brings on a positive life} this statement has been so true for me!

I haven't always be super positive and happy lol I've actually come a LONG way from where I was. 《Life is all about growing》 
From personal experience letting your mind fill up with negativity will lead you into negative sitchuations in life. The trick to fix this is to start being positive (yes I know this can be harder said then done) 


Here are some tricks that have worked for me in letting more positive thoughts into my mind

》count your BLESSINGS
Every morning before I get out of bed I think of five or more things I am thankful for. This really helps to put me in a good mood for the day! 

》Be present
Take time to be present in your life. Sometimes we get so caught up in the "crazy" our life is that we forget to stop and smell the roses so to speak. STOP look at your surroundings, take in all the smells and sounds and be present in that very moment..this really helps me to slow down and appreciate my life. Even in the chaos. 

》meditate 
This has been something that was NOT easy for me to do at first. To sit and clear my mind when I had a billion things I knew I had to do was incredibly hard. {Meditation comes with PRACTICE} This has really taught me how to continually grow in all aspects of my life. Take time to clear your mind and focus on particular aspects of your life .. I promise after doing this often you will notice change in your life. It has for mine that's forsure! 

《LOVE YOURSELF 》
This is the big one. You cannot live a positive life if you do not love yourself. Appreciate your journey.. where you are now. Love who you are becoming and who you are NOW. ♡♡

CHOCOLATE lovers


In this house we have CHOCOLATE for breakfast. Yes you heard me right!
This may just be my new {favourite} recipe ♡ from the fixate cookbook 

《Ingredients》
Large egg whites (1 cup)
1 scoop chocolate whey protein (I use shakeology)
Nonstick cooking spray
1 cup reduced fat plain Greek yogurt
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 cup sliced strawberries and blueberries


《Directions

-Combine egg whites and protein powder in medium bowl and mix well
-Heat small Nonstick skillet lightly coated with spray on medium high heat
-Spoon about 1/4 cup batter into skillet and cook for 1 -2 mins .. flip and cook for 30 seconds
-Fill crepes evenly with yogurt and berries

Challenge Group OCTOBER

Let's go back a few months ... 

I was exhausted 《all》 the time with a busy 4 year old and baby number two on the way. I was UNHAPPY! With myself, in my relationship, and where I was in life. I literally played everrrrry excuse in the book to not get myself motivated.. which left me stuck and misrible! I was emotionally binge eating which played a HUGE role in my mood especially being pregnant and over tired. My life was seriously CRAZY---》

I knew I needed a change but just wasn't sure exactly what it was... the only thing I knew I had control over Was my health. Knowing I had one little guy watching my every move and another one who would be here shortly I decided that I would FINALLY put my excuses to bed and get up and take control back. 


《Fast forward to today》


I am 27 weeks pregnant and have more energy then I ever did in my first pregnancy. I know EXACTLY what kind of food is best to fuel my body for my busy days as a mom. AND I am feeling such a confidence SHOCK! Taking back control was the best thing I've ever done for myself and my family. {All I did was make the {CHOICE to commit} and leave the excuses at the door. 
So now.. I'm looking for people who want CHANGE and who are ready to {COMMIT} to a healthy lifestyle.

Personal development




Was cleaning and doing some personal development today (gotta love audio books!) And heard a quote similar to this one. And it really struck me! 

Life is a {CHOICE} we can either skim by doing the bare minimum. <OR> We can light the fire in our lives and bring out the passion to LIVE

With the bare minimum you loose out on all the potential open doors and windows and cracks that would potentially bring us total ●○awesomeness○● into our lives. 

Who really wants to miss out on all that life has to offer? Get out of your comfort zone ... PUSH towards your goals. Make your goals HUGE this month! Forget waiting till the new year .. your time has and aways will be in the 《《NOW》》 

Make an appearance in life that will not be forgotten! September is YOUR month. Make it ☆great☆

Healthy Crepe recipe


We decided it was a breakfast for supper kind of night! And who doesn't LOVE crepes! 
Here is my 《Healthier》 Crepe recipe that was so delicious !!
1 cup almond milk

1 cup water
3 Tbsp coconut oil
2 cups whole wheat flour 
1/3 tsp sea salt
5 egg whites 


Wisk together eggs and flour while adding milk and water slowly to the mixture. Once smooth add in melted coconut oil and salt (I used my blender to get it really smooth) 

Lightly oil pan and add 1/4 cup mixture to the pan while tilting pan around to spread the crepe. 

Allow 1-2 mins to brown on one side then flip .

Top with vanilla Greek yogurt, your choice fruit and enjoy ♡♡

Lets talk MEAL PREP



Today i decided to document my meal prepping (usually i put aside time on Sunday to get my meals ready for the week but due to the long weekend it landed on Monday) 

--->> I seriously HATED the idea of meal prepping.. I always thought i would be such a pain but the reality is it has made my life so much EASIER! By making my meals ready to go i give myself LESS temptation by having them more accessible. And when I'm snacking i have ready to go HEALTHY snacks VS. junk foods.

I Don't just meal prep for myself. I meal prep for the whole <<FAMILY>>  I don't believe in making "extra" Meals for the other members of my family. I just make sure i portion everyones accordingly to their specific needs. And who can complain with the recipes that the FIXATE cookbook has to offer...  Garunteed to be toddler and hubby approved!

The hardest part of meal prep is making it a **HABIT** It takes a few weeks of doing it to get it down so that you do it without even thinking. It just becomes a part of your routine. THIS IS KEY!!!!! Being consistent is how PROGRESS is made!! So keep at it!

Switch it up! Don't be afraid to try new things and add them into your meal prep. A HUGE struggle for me was getting bored of the food i was having every week. So i picked out a few different menus and switch them every week! Eating clean does NOT have to be BORING! Pinterest is a BIG part of my planning :)

I used to have a major LOVE/HATE relationship with food... i was an emotional eater and would hit the fridge as soon as i was feeling down. THIS >> IS >> A >> MISTAKE!!! You want to feel good? Keep your energy levels up? EAT HEALTHY! Choosing to eat healthy whole foods will help with so many of the common health problems we deal with today.

Cherry Bomb Fitness Crockpot Beef Soup



Now this is a fall favourite for my house! After the last few days of fighting off the cold and then the flu. I figured my family could really benefit from having a warm meal filled with whole foods! Nothing but the best! Not to mention anything made in a crockpot is a MUST when you yourself are in need of a quick and easy but HEALTHY meal. 

Beef Crockpot Soup

4 Carrots
3 Celery
4 Red potatoes
1 Pack already chopped up beef 
1 Onion
3 Diced tomatoes

Spices 
*1 Bay leave
*(I use Mrs Dash i love the taste it brings out in all my meals and is low salt)*

Chop everything up throw into the crock pot.
Fill with water just to cover veggies and meat.
Add spices.
Cook on high for 4-6 hours in crockpot (most have a setting you can use)

This meal is a HIT in our house tonight! Its super easy and full of whole foods.
