Roasted Cauliflower Soup


So yesterday we went to my grandparents and and enjoyed some amazing roasted cauliflower soup! I always love visiting them and learning some new recipes to take home with me! 

Roasted Cauliflower Soup
1 Cauliflower (cut into small pieces)
1 white onion (cut into medium pieces)
2 carrots (cut into slivers)
4-5 cloves of garlic (smashed & diced)
Roast in a shallow pan (coat & toss veggies in olive oil - 2 TBS)
Season with Seasoning Salt & Spices
Roast at 350 for half an hour - tips will blacken slightly

Saute a half an onion & 4 ribs of celery - medium diced in 2 TBS Olive Oil & 1 TBS Coconut oil
Season with salt & pepper 
Add 1 litre of Chicken Broth (Low sodium)  & 2 cup of Coconut Milk or Milk
Simmer for half an hour on low heat.  Thicken with 2 TBS of corn starch & 1/4 cup of water & mix into soup slowly & stir.
Add chopped fresh parsley & paprika.   Sprinkle with sharp cheese of choice before serving.(Optional)

When love meets exercise



After i graduated high school i was in and out of abusive relationships. Some physically but mostly mentally and emotionally. It lowered my confidence immensely and led me down a very negative life. I struggled for so long with hating myself. I remember some days wishing the world would just suck me up and end the pain i was feeling.  I craved love so badly. What i did not realize, Was that to find love i had to love myself first.  Brent and i had gone to high school together. When we first started dating i was in and out of drugs and living a very unproductive life. I also was going through many issues with my sons dad and never really had a backbone to know when to stick up for myself. We started dating and went through some pretty crazy stuff together. It was hard but it made us realize that we were not meant to live this kind of life. So together we decided to not let the negative atmosphere we had gotten ourselves into voyage into our future. We put our heads together and have been journeying down our bumpy bumpy path together every since.

He is my rock, He pushes me through my workouts even after long days of working his construction job he still will be there right beside me pushing me to keep going when i feel like quitting. I feel so lucky to have found someone who not only loves me but has taught me how to love and respect myself and not take crap from anyone.

Here is our workout from last night. This workout is prime example of how our life has gone. I have wanted to give up countless time and he's the voice telling me to keep going and  push harder.

Spaghetti Squash Frittata


Made this beautiful creation last night for dinner! Now usually when i try out new recipes its all made on trial and error. Sometimes they are fantastic and other times they are pinterest disasters! This however, Turned out AMAZING.

Ingredients
spaghetti squash
5 eggs
red and orange peppers
tomates
Mrs. dash seasoning
Coconut oil

Directions
Cut squash in half and scoop out the seeds. Place in a bowl of water and put in the microwave for 6 mins on high. Place a pan on the stove and heat up on medium heat with a tbs of coconut oil. Cut up veggies and crack eggs and mix together with a splash almond milk. Scoop out the spaghetti squash and place in the, patting it down to create the "Crust" effect. Season with Mrs. Dash. Pour egg and veggie mixture over the top and season again, Then place a lid on and turn the heat up just past medium. It will be finished when you can cut into pie pieces and scoop out without it falling apart. Approximately 15 mins

Top with cheese if you would like!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Are you making it count?

I wanted to share a little of my meal plan with all of you! I am currently doing using the 21 day fix meal plan! It has color coded containers for each food group! You get an allotted amount of each Container each day based on your specific calorie intake (it will be different for each person based on activity in your day and current weight)


These Lil suckers have taken the guess work out of meal planning and have ultimately kept me on track because my body is getting the right amounts of food in the day so I'm not craving as much crap. 

I get 2 purples (fruit) and 2 yellows (carbs) a day. For breakfast I am having one of each! Oats and fruit! It's simple and easy and starts my morning out right!

Booty Workout

My go to stress reliever is working out. I battle anxiety on the DAILY! Before working out i literally used to have panic attacks if i left the house. Straight up brown paper bagging it. Let me tell you... its hard living with anxiety and depression. It is totally something that goes un talked about majority of the time but is 100% Real. I started working out on a daily basis, 30 min a day routines. And over time i noticed i had less anxiety through out my day. And i started to have a nicer butt. So pretty happy about that! LADIES there are SO many benefits to daily exercise, Not just physical but internal! And honestly i feel that is the most important! After all, If you feel good on the inside it, You feel a hell of a lot better on the outside.

Never too late


Its never too late. Fitness, Nutrition, Goals, Finances, Organization... What ever it may be that you have been wanting to start its never too late to get your sh*t together and put your plan into action! Waiting for "Tomorrow" will always leave you a day behind in life! Are you an emotional eater? Binge eater? Having a hard time with nutrition?


Food will either be a positive or a negative in your life. It has been both for me.
I have fought the ugly battle with emotional eating and lost many times. I still have a hard time with it. To the point where I have to lock up brents and the kids snacks so I can't get to it. Self Control is hard when you are an emotional eater and ultimately holds you back from your goals. 
Over the last 6 months I have learned to have a better relationship with food and not allow my emotions be an excuse to binge eat. It's still hard but I strive for progress not perfection on my journey. 
I didn't always have the support I have now. So when it comes to my challenge groups I make sure to give them the Suport I always wanted. Do you struggle with nutrition? Do you want to have a better handle on emotional eating? My next group will be for the binge eaters, the emotional eaters and the ones who just need more support nutrition wise.

I have a new relationship with these amazing things called pita chips

I wanted chips so freaking bad. Like it's been a morning straight out of ... well a moms life lol 
I almost caved and bought some lays. Omg did I ever want those lays. 
But I did the right thing instead and went home and made my own healthy chips to snack on. 
Zee recipe ðŸ˜œðŸ˜¬
-1 whole wheat wrap
-coconut oil
-Mrs dash lemon pepper spice 
Spread on the coconut oil onto wrap and spice with really what ever flavors you feel like. I chose lemon pepper because it's what I had (we really gotta go grocery shopping) it turned out pretty tasty! And satisfied my chip craving. 

Guilty as charged


Does this sound familiar?

I am 100% GUILTY of complaining about my weight and not being in shape BUT not doing anything about it. Why do we do this to our selves? WE have the power to change but yet we would rather bitch about how bad we feel than actually get up and do something about it. 
I have been doing alot of searching for this answer lately. And my conclusion is that we are SCARED of change. We have to do something DIFFERENT to get the things we want and that freaks us out. We know it will be hard so we complain while eating a box of icecream, all while wishing that our fairy godmother would pop in and make all our dreams come true. NEWS FLASH .. you are your fairy godmother. YOU are the key to your own success. 
Its a frustrating cycle and can really affect our inner woman! We are FIERCE and WILD and we should treat our bodies in a way that compliments those traits. Weather you are book worm or an adventurous soul you still have the ability to be STRONG and feel CONFIDENT!

When will you finally realize your worth and capabilities ... It took me till the age of 23 to figure out  that i alone could make all my dreams a reality. Having the knowledge i have now i want to tell all my fellow woman something i wish i knew and believed when i was so desperately wanting change

Choose your hard


Working out is freaking HARD. You have to get up and force yourself to do the workouts. You sweat and cry through some of the moves. You feel sore and tired and you have to fight the urge to quit. 
But you know what's harder? Feeling bad about the skin your in. Feeling discouraged and depressed because you wish you could look in the mirror and not feel negative thoughts about yourself. Wanting so badly to feel confident and strong .... 
You pick your hard. Thats just the way life works. One or the other. 

So what choice are you going to make today?

Nutrition after all is 80% of the battle! So making sure that you have a plan will help you to ultimately create the results you would like to see! When creating your meal plan to follow for PIYO, Youw ill want to make healthy food choices. If you are unsure of how to start your meal plan i would suggest taking a look at the list above and creating a meal plan based off of the food laid out in the list. If its not on this list and not in the PIYO guidebook... AVOID IT! ----> Lifestyle changes right?! 


Here is my suggestion:
1. Look over the approved grocery list.
2. Create your meal plan based upon the foods that you enjoy…and maybe new foods that you want to try!
3. Hit the grocery store (and take this handy list with you!)
4. Meal prep for the week.

MY WHY


First day of Bikini Bootcamp and we are talking about our WHY. So important to keep reminding ourselves of why we decided to take on any journey! In health and fitness or business.. This is MY WHY. They are the reason i can't sleep at night ---> Not just because jaxson literally wont sleep through the night either lol. But because i am constantly thinking of how i can grow and become a better mom and spouse and leader for my family!

This is what kicks my ass into gear when i feel like quitting. Or feeling like hiding from the world which this introvert so often does.

Plan for succes OR Plan for failure

Meal prepping at 9pm isn't what I really wanted to be doing. I'd much rather be in bed or lounging on the couch watching movies. Long day of travels and a chaotic grocery shopping trip and here I am ... prepping for another two weeks. 
I did not like where I was before meal prepping became a part of the routine. I actually hated being in my own skin always wishing I was someone else who was fitter and could pull off those cute little swim suits and dresses. 
And then BAM! It hit me. I was the key to my success. Only I could change my life and get the goals I wanted. 
By taking little steps and continually making them apart of my daily rise and grind I have been able to break goals and achieve what I used to dream of. 
Meal prepping was one of those small steps. 
So 9 pm and I'm tired. But my goals are still reaching high!

Simple Nutrtion


You know what people's biggest problem with sticking to being healthy is? They make nutrition more complicated then they need to! 
Simplicity is where it's at people!! You don't need to have a crazy, outrageously priced meal plan that takes all day to prepare----》 seriously I would not be doing this if it meant putting in that much work. I mean I do have a life lol 
Some days I love to try out new recipes that might need a little more effort and thought put in but most days I keep it simple!
Today's 1st snack is 1 apple and 12 almonds (1💜 & 1💙
Don't over complicate people. You'll just end up burning out quicker and making excuses for yourself!

Can I just say how much i love ‪#‎throwbackthursdays‬ ! Who doesn't love seeing progress! Left photo was 2011 about 5 months after I had my first son right photo is 2016 2 1/2 months after my second son! What a difference! 
My life has changed so much. Especially the last 6 months! Eating heathy and 30 minutes of exercise a day has so many benefits! I am so thankful I decided to take the proper steps to start taking care of myself!

you are not alone



It's not always easy looking backwards.
I battled insecurities through out my teens & early stages of my 20s. I was subjected to a very abusive relationship that dwindled my Confidence and love for myself. 
I coped with alcohol and other forms of abuse. I thought I was making it easier for myself by doing so but the reality was much worse than I could of imagined. Slowly I lost so much of myself. I was sad all of the time and actually remember points where I thought this was it. This was all my life would amount to. 
Today I look back and reflect not just on my physical appearance but more on my mental and emotional state. I am vibrant again! I see life in color and most importantly I once again am happy in my own skin. Had I not had the positive people that are in my life today I'm not sure where I would be. Had I kept hanging around the people who drained my mind and starved my soul I would probably still be hiding my true potential from the world.
I am so thankful for the group of woman who helped me find my purpose. And when i feel like quitting and hiding from the world they kick my ass back in gear and remind me how far I've come and how much further I have yet to go
💜sometimes you need to reach out. Know that you are not alone and you too deserve to shine. ðŸ’œ please reach out if you need someone. To me or anyone you feel would listen this could be the first step into finding yourself again ... I know it was mine.

Just registered for PIYO! It's starting to totally sink in! If you would of asked me a year ago if I would be helping people daily with their fitness goals, doing team calls to help new coaches live their life by design, going to fun events, AND getting certified to be a PIYO instructor .... well I would of laughed and said your off your rocker. 
For those who wonder what a coach does.. my favourite part is the totally destruction of your comfort zone. Facing your fears and becoming the BEST possible version of yourself I have so much love for this business as it's done so much more than just be a financial blessing.

Avocado Egg Boats


Feel free to share
Ingredients Serves 2 1 avocado 2 free-range organic eggs Ground black pepper Fine grain sea salt Chopped parsley to taste Directions Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Halve the avocado and scoop out enough meat to fit the raw egg, but leave as much as possible. Using two bowls, separate the egg yolk from the whites. Place the avocado halves on two ramekins, they hold them stable and make them easy to bake. Fill the avocado halves with the yolk first, then add the right amount of the white to prevent it from overflowing. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper, then bake for 15 minutes or 20 minutes if you don't want a runny yolk. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve! 

Nutrition facts One avocado half yields 231 calories, 20 grams of fat, 10 grams of carbs and 8 grams of protein.

Find Your Wild


My whole life I felt like I was missing out on something. Like I was living a life I was not meant for. It kept me from showing my true potential from the world and from being happy.

I choose to never stop learning. To continually grow and learn to love myself flaws and all. I will take each day as a blessing and use it to my full advantage.

10 Reasons To Drink Lemon Water
